In this week’s webinar, Attorney and Advisor Chris Berry of www.castlewealthlegal.com answers the below questions.
0:00 Introduction/Positive Focus
3:11 1. Vital estate documents include Financial POA and Medical POA. The documents are signed by the agent/successors. I recently heard that those endorsements should be re-affirmed annually by simply resigning and dating the original document.
Is this valid advice? Do the alternates need to reaffirm as well?
He also indicated that Raymond James requires semi-annual reaffirmation with a notary. I know some brokerages use their own forms. If someone doesn’t have the specific form, will the brokerages still honor the FPOA?
9:17 2. Son passed at age 40, and worked for 6 different companies, how do I find out if he has other assets?
12:00 3. What are the pros and cons of IUL vs FIA?
20:15 4. Can elder care parents put home in a trust with no exposure to Medicare?
23:39 What economic policies do I look for with politicians in terms of voting?
