Change to how VA Claims are Submitted

The Department of Veterans Affairs remains committed to providing Veterans and their families the best service possible. To support this commitment, VA has established a new toll-free Pension Management Center (PMC) fax number, 1-844-655-1604 , to simplify the pension claim fax submission process. Previously, Veterans and advocates who chose to fax pension documents were required to use designated regional fax numbers.

VA’s Pension program helps Veterans and their families cope with financial challenges by providing supplemental income through the Veterans Pension benefit. Veterans Pension is a tax-free monetary benefit payable to low-income wartime Veterans. The three previous Pension Management Center (PMC) fax lines will deactivate on May 31, 2017. Provided is a new Pension Fax Cover Sheet attached for use. Please disseminate to your VA partners and local affiliates.

The primary users of the PMC fax lines are Veterans Service Organizations, Veterans, social workers, and the Defense Finance and Accounting Services. Included below are anticipated questions and answers for your use.
