2015 Alzheimer’s Facts and Figures
Many of my clients are facing an Alzheimer’s or dementia diagnosis. The Alzheimer’s Association, which I am involved in, just released updated facts and figures for 2015. Alzheimer’s disrupts the lives of individuals, families and our communities, killing more than breast cancer and prostate cancer combined.
Between 2000 and 2012, deaths from Alzheimer’s disease increased 69 percent, while those attributed to the number one cause of death, heart disease, decreased 16 percent. Please take a moment and watch this short video.
